It has been felt beyond doubt that there has been increasing awareness amongst the business entrepreneurs of the most vital contribution made by cost and management accountancy services in the business houses to the attainment of business objectives. This has accentuated the demand for the cost and management accounting services in all the sectors of economy. Many members of the Institute are holding top management positions, viz Managing Directors Finance, Director Financial Controller, Chief Accountant, Cost Controller, Marketing Manager, and Chief Internal Auditor. Those managing their own business have found in themselves a Manager and an Accountant to control and flourish their business.

ICWAI EXAMINATION

The ICWAI Examinations are held in three stages

  • Foundation
  • Intermediate
  • Final

AFTER 10+2

The student who would like to join the Course after 10+2 has to undergo three stages to pursue the Cost and Work Account Course i.e.

  • Foundation Examination
  • Intermediate Examination
  • Final Examination

AFTER GRADUATION

The Foundation is waived in the case gazettle officers, post graduates, qualified engineers holding a degree and graduates from other streams. They are generally allowed to register with the institute for the intermediate examination.

The Student who would like to join the course after passing the Graduation has to undergo two stages of the Cost and Work Accountant i.e.

  • Intermediate Examination
  • Final Examination

CUT OFF DATES FOR ENROLLMENT

Enrolment to Intermediate/ Foundation Course is open throughout the year. However, the candidates must enroll at least prior to the month in which such examination commences.

Thus the cut-off dates for enrolment are as follows

  • For December Examination: 15th June.
  • For June Examination: 15th December of the preceding year.
